Moving and Growing

It has been quite a while since my last post.  This is due to one major happening in my life -> moving from the Middle East back to Canada.  There are mixed feelings about this because I am leaving a place that provides a very easy life without much hardship and going back to a place where everything is DIY (Do it Yourself). 

Things I am going to miss about the 'sandpit'

• Warmth (well the 5 months of the year that temperatures are under 40 Degrees)
• Travel - the Middle East is essentially in the middle of everything and flights to Asia are 7 hrs and flights to Africa are only 5 hrs....  
• People - you always meet some amazing people along the way and in the UAE was no exception!
• Shopping - you can literally get anything there.  It is Disneyland for grownups...
• Manekeesh with Zathar and Labneh  (YUM!) 
• Someone to do pretty much everything for you ...

Things I am not going to miss about the 'sandpit'

• Bad Drivers in fancy expensive cars
• Unexplainable rules
• Sugar in everything
• Living in over 48 Degrees C for over half the year (most of the summer being somewhere in the 50s)
• Always teaching and never learning

I am now back to rainy Vancouver and looking forward to my next adventure and growth opportunity!
